Allsorts Puddle Jumpers in Tain & Dornoch was open for the full seven weeks of school holidays. Each day had a different theme – Mondays were Hero training (learning to use safe play weapons, building your character) to prepare for the challenges of a woodland quest in week seven! Tuesdays were spent in the Allsorts wood, building shelters & cooking outdoors. Wednesdays had a scrapheap challenge, funky cake design, arts & crafts. Thursdays were magical mystery tours to Shandwick Beach, Highland Folk Museum, Fort George, Roller Bowl, Ledmore & Migdale Woods. Finally Fridays were inventions days – water wheels, splash pools, bridge building & straw bale construction. The in-service day was a trip to Abriachan Forest School at Loch Ness – now the youngsters want a tree house like the one there! Staff are now working on the October holiday plan with tales of fairies in the forest (afternoons in Ledmore & Migdale Woods), so bookmark our website www.allsorts-dornoch.org.uk to see the full details shortly!
